A Gift of Life Children’s Book
Thanks to our generous supporters, our Foundation is proud to have funded the publication of A Gift of Life: A Story of Organ and Tissue Donation.
The story follows a young boy after the loss of his father and his legacy as a hero through organ and tissue donation. This sensitive picture book honors organ and tissue donors and shows how their final gifts can change the course of others’ lives and help their own families find meaning in loss.


About The Author
Rachelle Burk is a writer of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry for children. Her work has appeared in national publications such as Highlights for Children and Scholastic Science classroom magazines. The NJ author has traveled to 17 states to share the joy of reading and writing through dynamic school visit programs.
A unique and meaningful story about a child learning to live with loss, while discovering the powerful, lifesaving impact their loved one made through the gift of organ and tissue donation. Any adult supporting a child through loss and donation would benefit from this special book
